The Lantern Festival is not just about reunions; it is also a time to experience traditions and enjoy life. This year, our colleagues gathered at Tian’an Cloud Valley to watch a spectacular Yingge Dance performance—an energetic folk art that blends Southern martial arts, theater, and dance. As the rhythmic drums echoed and the performers moved in perfect unison, everyone was captivated by the rich cultural heritage on display.

The Power and Spirit of Yingge Dance
Also known as Yangge or Yingge, this dance originated in the mid-Ming Dynasty and is popular in the Chaoshan region of Guangdong, as well as Zhangzhou in Fujian. Its unique style features performers wearing Water Margin-inspired face paint, wielding Yingge clubs or hand drums, and executing powerful, coordinated movements to the beat of the drums.
As the dancers leaped and shifted their formations with precision, the energy in the crowd soared. The performance wasn’t just visually stunning—it carried a deeper message of unity, discipline, and passion.
“This is incredible!” exclaimed our optics business manager, mesmerized by the seamless coordination. “Every move is perfectly timed with the drums, and there’s no room for mistakes.”
Our medical business manager smiled and added, “It’s not just a dance—it’s a mindset. Everyone giving their best, working together, and creating something truly powerful.”
Savoring the Moment, Enjoying Life
The joy of the Lantern Festival is not only about experiencing culture but also about sharing warm moments with others. To make the evening even more special, the company prepared steaming hot tangyuan (glutinous rice balls) for everyone to enjoy.
“These taste amazing—soft, chewy, and just the right sweetness,” said our mechanical engineer, savoring each bite.
“Tangyuan represents togetherness, and just like a team, we support each other and grow together,” a colleague added.
As laughter filled the air, the team gathered for a group photo, capturing this unforgettable moment of celebration. With smiles on their faces, they enjoyed a rare pause from their busy schedules, soaking in the warmth of the festival.
Cherishing Life’s Moments, Appreciating Every Gathering
This event was more than just an opportunity to witness a remarkable cultural performance—it was a reminder to embrace life and treasure every shared experience.
In the fast-paced world of work, moments like these allow us to slow down, enjoy a performance, share a meal, and appreciate the company of those around us.
Work is an important part of life, but so is living fully and cherishing the present.
As we continue to move forward, let’s make time to enjoy the beauty of life, celebrate small moments, and build meaningful connections with those around us.
Happy Lantern Festival—may we all embrace life’s joys!
